Central State Automation (CSA) is a process controls integrator specializing in automation solutions for the food, beverage, and dairy industries. We work directly with manufacturers to modernize existing control systems, integrate new equipment, improve process performance, and provide long-term automation support.
Our work ranges from PLC and HMI upgrades and equipment integrations to complete process control systems for CIP, HTST, batching, filtration, and other production processes. We focus on practical, scalable solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, maintainability, and product consistency.
CSA is built around a hands-on approach to engineering. Our engineers are involved throughout the project lifecycle—from system design and programming through testing, commissioning, startup, and ongoing customer support.
Central State Automation is seeking a Process Automation Engineer to join our team in Marshfield, Wisconsin.
This is a full-time, hybrid position combining in-office engineering, work-from-home flexibility, and on-site project work. The Process Automation Engineer will design, program, test, commission, and support industrial automation and process control systems primarily within food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing facilities.
This position is well suited for someone who enjoys solving real-world process problems and wants to be involved in more than just programming. You will work directly with control systems, instrumentation, production equipment, customers, and other engineering disciplines to take projects from concept through successful operation.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is beneficial:
At CSA, our engineers work on real production systems—not isolated pieces of a project. One day may involve developing a new process sequence in Studio 5000, while another could involve commissioning equipment at a customer facility, troubleshooting an instrumentation issue, integrating an OEM skid, or improving an existing process that has been running for years.
Our projects provide exposure to the complete automation system, including PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, networks, drives, control panels, field devices, and the manufacturing process itself.
We are looking for someone who wants to understand how the process works, not simply make the PLC code work.
If you enjoy industrial automation, solving challenging process problems, and seeing the systems you design operate in the real world, we would like to hear from you.
Central State Automation provides an opportunity to work on a wide range of automation projects while being part of a growing controls integration company focused on long-term customer relationships and practical engineering solutions.
